While all the other stores are asleep, coffee shops have an inviting glow that draws you in at night. Consider a trip to Main and 13th to visit 49th Parallel. Coffee and donuts - that's all they serve and it's how it should be. In a city saturated with an overwhelming number of coffee shops serving underwhelming coffee and food, it's a real treat to see the folks at 49th opting to do do the opposite. From floor to ceiling the design is consistent and well thought out but somehow this doesn't intrude on your experience. What you remember when you leave are the conversations and ideas that were sparked, and ultimately that's the real reason we go out for coffee isn't it.
